INFORMATIONAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF MEDICAL STUDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS IN HLV PREVENTION

- The actuality of training medical students and practitioners in the sphere of HLV prevention is connected with the continued growth of its prevalence, the necessity of mastering the preventive skills in the frames of the realization of federal state educational standards and the presence of occupational duties in the conduction of preventive measures in doctors of primary health care, some particular specialists and health care managers. Material and methods. The survey program included the inquiry of 210 students and 428 practitioners with point evaluation of the significance of different themes and sections and selection of preferable form of education. The average meanings and extensive indices of particular answers’ prevalence with their comparison by Student criterion were used in the data processing. Results and discussion. The increased significance of all questions associated with inland programs for the prevention and struggle against HIV was revealed both in students and in practitioners. Foreign experience and international collaboration problems were mostly interesting for students. Practitioners were mainly interested in distance educational techniques and the growth of such interest was marked with educational and practical experience accumulation. The practical usage of this survey findings consisted in the development of elective course for students in the field of HIV prevention and integration of the corresponded section into the programs of professional skills’ improvement in first aid medical personnel and health care managers.
