- Objective – to provide an evaluation of the health status of children experiencing speech impairments and to present a rationale of comprehensive medical, psychological, and pedagogical support programs for preschool-aged children within the framework of an educational institution. Material and methods. The analysis of the health status of 80 children aged 5–7 years in a speech therapy group of a preschool educational organization is presented. Diagnostics were performed on their psychosomatic constitution type, physical development, physical fitness, resistance, emotional state, and psychofunctional readiness for school. Results and Discussion. Children with speech development disorders exhibit a low level of physical fitness, have associated somatic diseases, musculoskeletal system pathology, and central nervous system problems. They are also more prone to an introverted orientation of mental activity and an unfavorable emotional state. The revealed characteristics formed the basis of organizing differentiated support for children during various activities in preschool educational organizations. An improvement in the overall health of the children and speech development was noted; the latter contributed to the successful mastery of the educational program and an increased level of readiness for school. Conclusion. Personalized childhood support programs, developed in terms of children’s constitutional characteristics, have improved the effectiveness of health promotion activities and the level of school readiness.
