TREND ANALYSIS OF RADIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS UNITS ACTIVITY IN OUT-PATIENT MEDICAL FACILITIES

Abstarct: Actuality. Medical imaging plays one of the key roles in the sphere of prevention and treatment. Due to the realization of high-tech medicine programs there has been rather significant increase in the range of modern imaging equipment. Objective – to analyse the performance indicators of the radiology departments at the out-patient medical facilities in the Russian Federation during the period from 2010 to 2018. Material and methods. The analysis used the data from the State Federal Statistical Monitoring No. 30 “Data on medical facilities” on the Russian Federation for 2010–2018. The statistical processing involved descriptive statistics methods and calculation of relative (intensive and extensive) indicators. Trend analysis was used as the key research method. Results and discussion. During the study the number of out-patient X-ray studies increased by 10,2 %, the number of computer tomography studies increased 4,3 times more, the number of magnetic resonance imaging studies increased 2 times more. The proportion of X-ray studies performed in out-patient units increased by 30,3 % and the number of MRI studies increased 4 times more. Conclusion. The period from 2010 to 2018 demonstrated a persistent trend towards an increase in the number of studies conducted by radiology departments of out-patient medical facilities in the Russian Federation.
