- Chromosome aberrations presence in the karyotype of one of the spouses is one of the causes of spontaneous abortions in early terms. Objective – to analyze the frequency and quality of chromosome aberrations in spouses with habitual incomplete pregnancy (HIP). Material and methods. Retrospective analysis of karyotyping findings in 474 families suffered from HIP at early terms (to 12 weeks) was made at the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Ivanovo Research Institute of Maternity&Childhood by V.N.Gorodkov» of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation from 2016 to 2019. Results and discussion. It was determined that the frequency of chromosome aberration carriage in spouses with HIP at early terms was amounting to 2,1 %. Karyotype abnormalities were revealed in 2,3% women and in 1,4 % men. Some examples of the tactics of medico-genetic consultation and the treatment of following pregnancy in families where one of the spouses was chromosome aberrations carrier were adduced. Conclusions. The karyotype analysis in spouses with HIP is the integral part of the examination of spouses in order to exclude the presence of chromosome aberrations and to determine the tactics of planning and treatment for following pregnancy.
