BEHAVIORAL RISK FACTORS FOR HEALTH DISORDERS IN ADOLESCENTS AND MODERN APPROACHES TO THEIR CORRECTION IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

- Actuality. Risk factors (RF) for health disorders in children which are stipulated by life style are manageable. Their monitoring allows to determine the priority trends of prophylactic intervention and to evaluate the efficacy of the conducted measures among schoolchildren. Objective – to compare the prevalence of some behavioral risk factors among adolescents from urban and rural schools, their knowledge level concerning the influence of such factors on health status and formation certain statements for healthy life style (HLS) in these children. Material and methods. 357 pupils of 5–11 forms were interrogated by the method developed by Research Institute of Hygiene and Health Protection in Children and Adolescents of National Centre for Children Health of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Results and discussion. High prevalence of behavioral RF among schoolchildren was revealed: namely low motion activity (47,3 %), nutrition regimen disorder (45,1 %), imbalanced nutrition (34 %), night sleep deficiency (41,7 %), long and regular stay near personal computer (30 %), rarely – smoking (7 %) and alcohol abuse (18 %). Higher knowledge level concerning risk factors was marked in rural schoolchildren in comparison to urban schoolchildren. Formation of certain statements for healthy life style demonstrated the tendency to increase while studies both in urban and in rural schools but remained lower than knowledge level concerning risk factors. Conclusions. The findings of the conducted survey allowed to define the priority trends and the volume of hygienic education both in urban and in rural schools with due regard to the revealed risk factors and to require the necessity of new forms of educational activity and formation of certain statements for healthy life style in adolescents.
