- Objective – to give the general description and to identify the features of the design decisions of the navigation systems of medical organizations that implement lean production. Material and methods. The object of the study was 33 medical organizations located in the territory of seven constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The author’s methodology (ALIDS, version 1.0) for the analysis of navigation systems in the form of a checklist of 72 indicators, combined into five blocks: architectural and planning decisions, design, transmitted information, levels and navigation elements was taken as the basis. The Design block was represented by 16 indicators reflecting graphic, color, stylistic and compositional solutions of navigation systems. Results and discussion. The design of navigation systems of medical organizations is characterized by a satisfactory level (according to the ALIDS checklist) – 62,9 %. The highest compliance of navigation elements was achieved in the indicators «readable fount» (93,3 %) and «use of several defining colors» (86.7%), the lowest one – in the indicators «use of symbols/ identity of a medical organization» (17,3 %) and «use of infographic graphics» (30,7 %). Conclusion. The imperfect design of the existing navigation systems of medical organizations of the Russian Federation is a risk factor for the occurrence of the main (waiting, extra movements, unnecessary transportation) and additional (variability, insufficient value of the service) types of losses of lean production.
