Systemic manifestations of connective tissue hereditary disorders in children exposed to irradiation in Chernobyl atomic station damage and in their descendants

- The authors presented the results of their own clinical observation in children exposed to radioactive irradiation in Chernobyl atomic station in the following 25 years period; phenotypic profile of connective tissue hereditary disorders in these patients was studied. High incidence of the manifestations of connective tissue hereditary disorders and increased volume of associated pathology in the descendants of the exposed parents were marked. The manifestation regularities of the connective tissue hereditary disorders in dependence on the gender of the exposed parent, period of time from the moment of radiation exposure to the child’s birth, year of stay in the damage zone and age of irradiation were revealed.
