Abstarct
The quality of healthcare delivery, optimal resource utilization, and overall efficiency of regional healthcare systems in the Russian Federation directly depend on the training level of medical professionals. Specialists must be proficient in modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods, capable of integrating recent scientific advancements into clinical practice, and committed to providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative patient care. Objective – to develop a practice-oriented training model for residents in Pediatric Endocrinology, based on an analysis of current educational practices. Materials and Methods. The study employed documentary analysis of regulatory frameworks governing medical residency training, alongside general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis to evaluate existing experience and identify opportunities for implementing a practice-oriented educational model in Pediatric Endocrinology. Results and Discussion. The article presents findings from an analytical study focused on developing a residency training model in Pediatric Endocrinology, implemented at the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, Ivanovo State Medical University (Ministry of Health of Russia). The model is built on practice- oriented principles that transform theoretical knowledge and clinical skills into professional competencies through direct involvement of residents in patient care. A modular curriculum structure facilitates the sequential mastery of competencies, building upon the baseline skills of trainee pediatric endocrinologists. This approach ensures the attainment of required professional standards and supports the delivery of high-quality specialized care for children with endocrine disorders.
