- A case of brucellosis outbreak in a non-endemic area is described. A veterinary inspection at a subsidiary farm found a cow infected with brucellosis. Five people were infected while caring for the cow and drinking unpasteurized milk. The first diagnosis took more than 1.5 months. The difficulty in diagnosis in this case arose from the fact that the patient was elderly and had multiple other health conditions. For long-term febrile patients with a relevant epidemic anamnesis, it is important to examine them for brucellosis.
