THE PREVALENCE OF RISK FACTORS FOR MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM IN WOMEN OF YOUNG REPRODUCTIVE AGE

Abstarct

The aim of this study is to assess the risk factors for tumor diseases of the reproductive organs in women aged 18–29 and their impact on their reproductive plans. Material and Methods. The study analyzed the results of a survey and clinical and laboratory examinations of 338 women aged 18–29 who had undergone a comprehensive examination. Results and Discussion. In women of young reproductive age, the main risk factors for breast cancer include late first birth, a long interval between menarche and first birth, irregular sexual activity, and inflammatory diseases of the genitals. Early sexual activity, a large number of sexual partners, and lack of barrier contraception are the main risk factors of cervical cancer. Among women under 30, inflammatory processes of the genitalia, menstrual irregularities, and benign breast conditions are the most common types of reproductive system pathology. Conclusion. The low percentage of healthy young women of reproductive age necessitates a correction of their lifestyle and reproductive plans. The high prevalence of HPV infection, chronic cervicitis, vaginal microbiome disorders, and sexually transmitted infections requires the introduction of a diagnostic algorithm to assess the vaginal microbiome. Considering current trends towards delayed reproductive function and the frequent detection of diseases of the reproductive organs in young women, it is essential to improve work with this population by increasing medical activities, promoting awareness of risk factors for tumor diseases, and emphasizing the importance of comprehensive pre-pregnancy examinations for couples.
