CONCOMITANT SOMATIC PATHOLOGY IN PATIENTS WITH ORAL CAVITY ONCOPATHOLOGY

- Concomitant diseases in elder patients with oral cavity oncopathology directly influenced the selection and tactics of their treatment. Objective – to study the structure of the correspondent pathology which influenced the course of malignant neoplasms in oral cavity and to plan necessary therapy. Material and methods. Case histories of the patients in the surgical department for head and neck tumors of Ivanovo regional oncological clinic within the period from 2010 to 2019 were analyzed. 429 patients suffered from malignant tumors in oral cavity were examined. Results and discussion. Patients aged over 60 years (49,4 %) with concomitant pathology formed nearly a half of all patients. Cardiovascular diseases – 27,4 %, respiratory diseases (7,2 %), gastrointestinal diseases (3,9%), endocrine diseases (3,2%) prevailed in the examined persons. Some patients undergone cancer of other localizations earlier. Part of the patients with psycho-neurological disorders and infections was not significant. Conclusion. One should take into consideration age characteristics and concomitant diseases in planning treatment for patients with oncopathology in oral cavity.
