MODERN SPACERS FOR PARAPROSTHESIS INFECTION TREATMENT AFTER HIP JOINT IMPLANTATION

Abstarct: Hip joint implantation (HJI) operation may be accompanied by different complications including infectious ones. Treatment for paraprosthesis infection is complicated, lingering and expensive. Early diagnosis and active surgical tactics are necessary for successful therapy of infectious complications. One of the most effective methods of treatment is two-stage reendoprosthesis with use of different kinds of spacers. Reports concerning up-to-date spacers which are applied in the treatment for paraprosthesis infection are analyzed.
