A NEW APPROACH TO THE ORGANIZATION OF AMBULANCE SERVICE: MOTORCYCLE APPLICATION

Abstarct: The authors analyzed medical reports concerning the application of motorcycle in rendering emergency medical aid and the enlarged envelopment of the population by medical services. Both positive and negative sides of rendering medical aid by motorcycle were adduced. The advantage of the above mentioned kind of medical aid was as follows: more quick reaction in comparison with the car; it allowed to enlarge territorial envelopment by medical services, to increase availability and quality of medical aid of such kind and to decrease financial expenditures. The disadvantages of such medical aid were as follows: impossibility to transport patients, limits in conditions and regime of this work (day time, satisfactory weather conditions); the necessity of supplementary training of medical personnel (driving motorcycle including driving in extreme situations).
