PROFESSIONAL STANDARD “DOCTOR IN PHYSICAL AND REHABILITATIVE MEDICINE” AS THE CALL OF TIME AND THE NEAREST FUTURE

Abstarct

The necessity of the ratification of the professional standard (qualification requirements) “Doctor in physical and rehabilitative medicine” is properly substantiated in the article. The standard describes the duties of the corresponded medical personnel and provides basic algorithm of the occupational activities. This algorithm allows to realize the substantiated procedures and to find the correct decision in many various situations. The significance and the role of medical rehabilitation in the system of specialized and primary medical aid rendering, in palliative aid, in medical care for patients and invalids are determined. The level of qualification which is needed for the specialist in order to carry out definite professional activity and which motivates him to develop occupational skills in the increased requirements of labour market is described.
