PLACENTA PATHOMORPHOLOGY IN THIMIC DYSPLASIA IN NEWBORNS WITH EXTREMELY LOW BODY MASS
- Keywords
- thimic dysplasia, immunodefi ciency states, placental insuffi ciency, newborns with extremely low body mass
- Abstarct
- 12 newborns with thimic dysplasia and extremely low body mass were examined as follows: complex morphological examination of placenta with using of review histology, elective methods of colouring, histochemistry, electron microscopy and morphometry. It was demonstrated that intrauterinely these newborns were developed under conditions of chronic sub- and decompensated placental insuffi ciency. Anomalies of form, hypoplasia of placenta of II-III stages, marginal implantation of umbilical cord, hypovascularization, postinfl ammative sclerosis of stroma in combination with disorders of villi maturation and underdevelopment of the processes of adaptation and compensation were its main pathomorphological signs.
