Magneto-resonance tomography in diagnosis of acute pancreatitis destructive forms

Abstarct: The results of magneto-resonance tomography in 42 patients with severe necrotizing form of acute pancreatitis were presented. It was stated that MRT allowed to visualize the phase and the stage of necrotizing acute pancreatitis, to reveal the presence of necrosis in pancreatic gland and peripancreatic fat and to define its degree, to detect complications development. All these data let to work out or to change treatment strategy, to choose optimal terms, type and volume of operative intervention.
