The importance of several regulatory documents at the current stage of the organization of medical care has changed. In the past, doctors’ actions were guided by standards, but now there is a shift towards a set of regulatory documents that govern the leading aspects of patient care. Conclusion. At the current stage of development of domestic healthcare, the main document regulating the provision of medical care for doctors is Clinical Recommendations. These recommendations are developed based on the achievements of evidence-based medicine and include diagnostic measures, treatment options, and patient management algorithms depending on the specific clinical situation. Medical care standards are currently used for economic planning of resource requirements, rather than to justify patient management strategies or medical care quality control.
