MECHANISM OF CENTRAL POST-STROKE PAIN FORMATION AND SOLID GROUNDS TO ITS TREATMENT

- Central post-stroke pain (CPSP) occurs as a result of damage to the somatosensory structures of the spinal cord and brain. The article examines the mechanisms of formation and diagnostic criteria of CPSP. Possible mechanisms of the analgesic effect of botulinum toxin type A in neuropathic pain are discussed.
