ATTITUDE TO HUMOUR AND LAUGHTER (GELOTOPHOBIA, GELOTOPHILIA AND KATAGELASTICISM) IN MENTAL DISORDERS (RESEARCH REVIEW)

Abstarct: Information concerning phemomena which characterize the attitude to humour and laughter (gelotophobia, gelotophilia and katagelasticism) in different mental disorders is presented. The results obtained after the examinations pointed out the diagnostic significance of the determination the phenomena of attitude to humour and laughter. Our own data concerning the interrelation of gelophobia with different psychological characteristics testified to negative influence of expressed fear of mockery on psychic well-being and it might deteriorate the course of main disease. That’s why the development of psycho-correctional and psycho-therapeutic programs and their introduction into complex treatment for psychic disorders is needed.
