- Objective – to study local immunocorrective therapy influence on some indices of immune status in patients with lower jaw fractures (LJF). Material and methods. 93 patients with LJF aged 17-62 years were treated at in-patient department, among them – 57 patients with diagnosed unilateral lower jaw fracture and 36 patients with diagnosed bilateral lower jaw fractures. These patients were divided into two groups: 1st group included 42 persons who were administered traditional therapy, 2nd group was formed of 42 persons who were additionally administered immunocorrective preparation “Imudon”. The following indices were evaluated namely the parameters of nonspecific resistance (content of C3 complement compo-nents and ceruloplasmin level) by immunochemical technique, circulating immune complexes (CIC) concentration, midmo-lecular peptides (MMP) in blood by A.I.Gabrielyan method (1981), neutrophile phagocytic activity (NPA). Results and discussion. Complex treatment with immunocorrective preparation «Imudon» allowed to decrease MMP con-centration from 0,58 ± 0,06 to 0,28 ± 0,02 relative units (p < 0,05), CIC concentration – from 78,1 ± 5,12 to 34,8 ± 3,12 relative units (p < 0,05), ceruloplasmin concentration – from 39,6 ± 0,52 to 25,2 ± 0,22 ml/dl (p < 0,05). Conclusion. The obtained data testified to the possibility of the preparation «Imudon» administration because it increased immune protection factors in the treatment for patients with LJF.
