A NEW TECHNIQUE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF LIMB LENGTH AND OFFSET IN HIP JOINT IMPLANTATION

Abstarct: A new technique for the determination of limb length and offset within the operation of total hip joint implantation was described. The advantages of this technique were as follows: invasiveness, simple usage and absence of Х-ray load on the patient during the operation. The evaluation of accuracy of the results of its usage in 32 patients was performed. The restoration of the needed limb length was marked in all patients; permissible difference (from 1 sm to 9 mm) in the limb length after the operation was reached.
