- Objective - to estimate the effectiveness of rehabilitative measures in patients after primary total endoprosthesis of knee joint in late rehabilitative period in medical rehabilitation department. Material and methods . 72 patients aged 52-72 years after primary arthroplasty of knee joint were examined; among them 32 patients (basic group) were rehabilitated in medical rehabilitation department of Ivanovo regional hospital for war veterans, 40 patients - in dispensary. In hospital in contrast to dispensary constant medical control was provided, robot-assisted systems of rehabilitative measures and biological feed back techniques were used. The effectiveness of the performed measured were evaluated in 12 months by orthopedic examination, electroneuromyography and estimation by Knee Society Score scale. Results . The results of comparative orthopedic examination demonstrated the diminishment of pain intensity till moderate figures in all patients; and muscle restoration was more effective two times more, movement amplitude was three times more in patients from basic group. Conclusions . Primary arthroplasty of knee joint within first 12 months allowed to decrease the intensity of pain syndrome till moderate level according to visual analogous scale, to restore movement volume and to improve functional status of operated joint; usage of modern rehabilitative technologies in hospital demonstrated the best functional results in comparison with dispensary.
