- Objective - to analyze the indices of density of power spectrum of acoustic signals of abdominal cavity in patients who are admitted into surgical department on suspicion of acute appendicitis. Material and methods . In 2015-2017 60 patients were examined (average age - 31+-13 years, 32 men, 28 women); the diagnosis of acute appendicitis was confirmed in 30 patients. Computer-associated phonoenterography was made by electronic device (“Neurosoft” company, city of Ivanovo). Motor-evacuation function of gastrointestinal tract was evaluated by the distribution of power spectrum density in the frequency range from 100 to 1750 cycles per second. Results . The indices of the patients in whom the diagnosis of acute appendicitis was excluded were in the frequency range 300-350, 850-900, 950-1000 and from 1200 to 1750 cycles per second; with extremely high trustworthy degree (p < 0,001) they differed from the indices of the patients with acute appendicitis and did not have statistically significant distinctions (p > 0,05) in comparison to the indices of the persons from control group. Conclusions . Motor function of gastro-intestinal tract predominantly small intestine demonstrated statistically significant decrease in the comparison with control group and group of patients with abdominal pains of unappendicular origin. Frequency range of 1200-1750 cycles per second was proved to be the most important for the differentiated diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
