Congenital hip dislocation: results of the follow-up study

- The authors presented the results of the follow-up study in patients with congenital hip dislocation who underwent operative intervention or were treated by Unna paste traction. Follow-up study was amounting to 23+-5 years upon the average. The best clinical and functional results were obtained in patients with Unna paste traction. Dysplastic coxarthrosis was revealed in 30% (second group) and in 100% (first group). The average term of dysplastic coxarthrosis manifestation was amounting to 10,7+-2,0 years in the first group and to 20+-3 years in the second group. The terms of operative treatment performing and hip joint dystrophic disorders had linear correlation. Muscle functional status which provide joint stability and gait disorders had positive correlation also.
