- Clinical characteristics were given and central hemodynamics status was evaluated in patients with permanent form of atrial fibrillation in acute period of ischemic insult regarding its outcome. 212 patients were enrolled in the study. It was determined that patients with atrial fibrillation differed from patients with sinus rhythm in the acute stage of ischemic insult by reliably more low indices of stroke volume and total peripheric vascular resistance in high cardiac rate. Low parameters of stroke volume, minute volume and cardiac index were connected with unfavorable outcome and slow recovery of these patients in acute stage of ischemic insult.
