- Influence of various forms, concentrations and terms of peat preparations' application on healing of burn wounds was studied. 42 rats were enrolled in the experiment. Burn wound in test groups was exposed to TOMED NPF "Nedra" peat preparations (1 or 3% solutions, 1% ointment-hydrogel); humic acids were their active components. It was revealed that the application of these preparations on the burn surface accelerated the epithelium restoration. Analysis of morphometric parameters of thickness and epidermis of regenerate and epidermis above the defect allowed to determine that solutions and hydrogels of humic acids exerted tissue preventive effect and was conducive to the formation of more valuable regenerate in comparison with dry healing.
