- The results of L-arginine use in the correction of endothelial dysfunction in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of lower limbs arteries and in the prevention of reconstruction zone restenosis were presented in the report. It was revealed that L-arginine intake favorably influenced endothelium functional state, increased NO level, decreased the risk of neointima hyperplasia development and reconstruction zone restenosis. Frequency of restenosis in patients who took L-arginine was significantly lower than in patients without endothelial support.
