Remedial gymnastics in complex treatment for osteoarthrosis in its combination with hypertension

- The authors studied the efficacy and safety of complex therapy which included the use of universal gymnastic plant of Leningrad type (UGUL) and hydrokinesitherapy in patients with coxarthrosis in combination with hypertension. 13 patients were treated traditionally by mineral baths, mudtherapy, massage, remedial gymnastics; 11 patients were treated traditionally and by UGUL; 14 patients were treated traditionally, by UGUL and by hydrokinesitherapy. It was stated that the usage of UGUL and especially UGUL and hydrokinesitherapy combination in the treatment for these patients has increased the efficacy of coxarthrosis therapy. All examined techniques of remedial gymnastics were conducive to decrease systolic and diastolic arterial pressure and heart rate and this fact allowed to recommend their use in complex therapy in patients with coxarthrosis and hypertension combination.
